Pineapples everywhere

Since the girls bought Ron a grill, his specialty is marinated chicken kabobs. After cutting up the pineapples to put on the skewers he plants the tops all over the place. They are in pots, in back yard in numerous places. This is his favorite. It is now over three feet tall.

One Determined Woodpecker!

Ron's been anxiously waiting for a bluebird to arrive at the birdhouse he placed on the Hurricane Dennis tree remnant. Just about gave up hope when yesterday a woodpecker was bound and determined to make it his home. After numerous attempts and not being able to fit through the hole he got to work and pecked the entire afternoon to enlarge the hole.

A piece of Indiana. Ron planted 2 bradford Pear trees, 1 dogwood, 1 flowering cherry and a red maple tree this week. They remind of Indiana. Now to see if they survive the heat. Posted by Picasa
